A side of kindness with your morning caffeine

When I pulled up at the drive-through window at Starbucks at 7am in Hubs' flannel pj shirt (yes, it's back, and I can't promise that I'll take it off) the barista handed me my chai latte and told me, "It's already paid for, by the woman who was in front of you. She left this note." She handed me a piece of torn-off notebook paper that simply read 'Have a great day!'

I paid for the drink of the person behind me, and left the note for him.

People can be randomly nice. Isn't that just so refreshing?

That is so nice! I got one of those notes one day. It was so sweet, and put me in a great mood for the rest of the day!

When we were heading home from vacation this year, the person in front of us paid our toll. It's amazing how those small gestures can brighten your day!!!

That's so sweet! I love it, makes me all want to go out and buy the world a Coke. :) I suppose Starbucks is probably the only place I could afford to buy someone a drink right now. And since I don't drink coffee, I'm kind of out of luck. :)

I love when people do that! I am a big believer in paying it forward.

What a great way to start the day.

I absolutely LOVE it when that happens! We try to pay tolls for people now and then, I really think it's as rewarding to do it as it is to receive it.

That is awesome! I'd love to do that someday. Knowing my luck some old guy would say "What? You don't think I can pay for my own cup of coffee? I'm not destitute you know. You little arrogant..."

What a great start to your day. It's funny how we go through life and never notice other people and then something like that happens and brightens your day!

OMG! You had a real-life Oprah pass it forward moment. No you can go to Starbucks tomorrow and they will give you free coffee. Did you know that? Look it up! Free coffee? Twice in one week? Yeppers!

We have a radio station in Grand Rapids MI, that promotes that kind of actions everyday. They call it TOY (T)hink (O)utside (Y)ourself. Every week they read some of the heart warming stories about TOY. It's refreshing isn't it?

Awesome! I have always wanted to do that for someone. I've done it on the tollway before, but never the coffee shop.

Isn't that such a cool thing to happen at just the right time? I had that happen once at a Sonic. I wish I'd had the presence of mind to immediately pay it forward like you did! Good on ya!

We once did that for a customer behind us at the local candy store. Completely unexpected and she didn't even know what to say! I felt good for the rest of the day!

Wow! That's kind of inspiring. Pay it forward in the Starbucks line.

Thanks for sharing. That gave me a little boost of good cheer.
