Start good habits young

Hero just stole half of my clementine. It was a good one, but easy to peel, so I'm not too upset. If I'd suffered through peeling an entire orange and he'd ungratefully gulped it down in one bite, I'd be a bit more pissed off. Whatever, at least he got some vitamin C. I figure it's better if he steals healthy food. When he stuck his snout in my bowl of ice cream and Hershey's syrup last night I was very unhappy with the sugar content he'd consumed.

What I want to know is, how big is his stomach anyway? Bigger than half a clementine? How can he fit it in there when he didn't even chew up it up first?

My Beagle doesn't chew anything... she inhales.

Last year, as I took Chicklet to see her dad I had put our Christmas chocolates (the kind wrapped in shiny foil) in a plastic container at the very back of the kitchen counter.

She jumped, got my box and ate all the chocolates...

For the next two days, she left me "presents" wrapped in shiny paper from the inside out.

yuck!

We refer to it as the "Glitterpoop Incident".

I would be upset that he ruined my ice cream! I'm glad you were able to enjoy your family time.

Clementine's are the best!!
I agree with Seussgirl... sugar is one thing, ruining ice cream with Hershey's syrup? So much worse!!!

Lol... oh the joys of dogs. Zoe is our major food culprit. He's big enough to put his front paws on the counter when we're not in the kitchen and just goes hunting for whatever is there. He ate 2 raw bratwurts earlier this fall... he's always game for bread/rolls/buns if they're waiting for dinner. And cookies you have to guard with your life, he consumed a panfull one day. Gross huh?

If he's anything like my brother, it just goes straight into the hollow leg, bypassing the stomach entirely.

They can eat anything can't they. You'd be amazed at how much my old tiny Siamese would eat!

Thanks for the comment on my blog. Especially thanks for believing that it is possible that I have my crap together enough to actually send Christmas cards. :0)

Good luck with the dog. One time my mini dachshund got a hold of a styrofoam plate full of brownies and ate the whole thing, styrofoam and all. I thought he was going to die but he didn't.

e no idea how dogs do it- it's like a weird magic trick.

One time my dog ate an ENTIRE BAG of dark chocolate dove candy- plastic and foil. Let's just say it was quite shiny outside for several days following.
